RUN RABBIT RUN. April 11, a 5k in Central Park.
MILLROSE men were third place open team. In order: Mark Heller, Pascal Webber, Derek Luniewski, Alfred Finger at age 63, and newcomer Steve Forman. These five men made up a 3rd place team and notice if Steve hadn't been present that day, we would have missed the prize. So, you can never tell when your effort makes a big difference. You never know.
Some hardware winners : Al Finger, 2nd in Senior A, Mike Daly, 2nd Senior B, John McManus 1st place in 70 A, Tom Gibbons, 1st in 70 B. Vincent Carnavale was 2nd in his age group.
MILLROSE women were also the third place team, as they had been in the Rain Forest Run, the week before. The team:Carol Gellman( 2nd in her age group), Ann Makoske(1st in her age group) and Rosa Nales was the third of our women to cross the line. Rosa,at 64, was the 1st Senior A. Naomi Vogel was 2nd Senior A. They showed up, ran as fast as they could, faster than many other women, and lo! they earned a team trophy. You never can tell.
