Coogan's Salsa Blues 5K
On spring like moring, people headed to washington heights for the third annual Coogan's Salsa Blues 5k. Millrose was well represented.
In the mens race Heriberto Medina was the first to cross in a time of 20:28. David Frankfurt was the next to cross with a time of 22:46. Other participants included Alpha Nickelberry (24:20), Joseph Puglisi (24:47), Michael Frankfurt (26:19), Joseph Burns who was second in his age group (70-74) in a time of 26:52, Brian Adler (26:41), Neil Cook (27:28), Sab Koide who was first in his age group (75-79) with a time of 28:05, Richard Shaffer (35:39), and Albert Puma (40:12)
On the women's side Janet Piez was the first to cross with a time of 27:57. Next to cross was Naomi Vogel who was first in her age group (65-69) with a time of 29:28. Other participants included Arlene Eneman (51:01).
