Staten Island Half-Marathon
Here are the results of the Staten Island Half marathon.
In the 40+ age group, the Millrose women scored third: Scoring for the team were Sandra Powers, Ann Makoske and Marjorie Holt.
In the 50+ age group, the Millrose women scored first: Scoring for the team were Ann Makoske, Marilyn Greeley-Walsh and Jillian Lazaridis.
Hartford Marathon
Bonnie Dietrich ran the Hartford Marathon, and here's what she said about it:
" I completed the Hartford Marathon on Saturday, October 14, in 4:33:05,
placing third in the 55-59 age group, despite a wimpy training base and
unseasonably warm temperatures. The race began at 8:00 a.m. in the low
50's; at 9:30 it was 73 degrees, and over 80 by the time I finished. I
didn't see any Millrose people, very few local runners, in fact, just a few
from the Flyers maybe three Warren Street people and I think one from Urban
Athletics.
