United We Run
On a great day for running, over 4,000 people turned out for the United We Run 4 miler. Millrose was well represented. The first man to corss the finish line was Mark Heller in a time of 22:59. He was followed by Alan Dule with a time of 24:42. Third was David Toberisky in a time of 25:47. Other participants included Kennet Jones, who came in first in his age group (70-74) with a time of 27:56, David Frankfurt (28:30), Michael Wilson (28:50), James Fillis (28:51), Jeremiah O'Connor (29:11), Steve Forman (30:13), Michael Frankfurt (33:07), Neil Cook (33:20), John McManus, who won his age group (75-79) in a time of 35:19, he was followed by Sab Koide who was second (75-79) with a time of 35:14. Also finishing Robert Kwit (36:23), Richard Shaffer (41:18), Albert Puma (39:28), Wallace Cutler was third in his age group (75-79) in a time of 48:58, and rounding out the field Eugene Guthrie (51:25), and Joseph Puglisi (57:49).
On the women's side, Joan Bondell was the first Millrose woman to cross in a time of 24:18. Other participants included Bonnie Dietrich (35:43), Nancy Youngbeck (36:11), Julie Davidson (34:18), Naomi Vogel cam in second in her age group (65-69) with a time of 38:01. Also finishing was Jill Biddington (40:25), Rhona Triggs (50:05), and Pamela Guthrie (56:41) .
