Yonkers Marathon:
Millrose was well represented at Yonkers yesterday. Our own Ellen McCurtin won the marathon in 3:04:18. Bonnie Dietrich finished the race in 1:55:41, which was second in her age group. Edith Jones, Ralph Balsamo and Dave Obelkovich, also ran the race.
Philadelphia Half-Marathon:
Millrose was also represented in Philadelphia yesterday. Marjorie Kos came in second in her age group with a time of 1:47:26. David Frankfurt finished the race in 1:46:42. Also Mike Frankfurt came in fourth in his age group with a time of 24:52 in the 5k race.
Harry Murphy 5K:
It was hot and humid this past Sunday, but two
true-blue Millrose women were in attendance. Congratulations to Marilyn Greeley-Walsh (1st in
division) and Barbara Saldick (5th in division).
Representing the Millrose men were the following: Mike Wilson (10th in division); Bill Hart (11th in
division); Ed Walsh (28th in division); Jack Haar (1st in division); Mike Frankfurt (4th in division);
Wallace Cutler (1st in division); and Gene Guthrie (5th in division). Congratulations men!
Broadway on Broadway Run
Sunday, September 10, at the Broadway on Broadway run, Millrose women took third place team award: Bonnie Dietrich, Naomi Vogel and Pam Guthrie; Bonnie placed second in her age-group and Naomi was first in hers. Gene Guthrie and Al Puma each took third in their age groups
