X-Country Championship
On a great fall day, people headed up to Van Cortland for the Cross Country Championships. Fernando Castillo was the first Millrose man to finish with a time of 20:15. Daniel Gonzalez was next in a time of 20:40. Michael Wilson finished second in his age group (55-59) in a time of 22:50. Other participants were William Hart (22:58), James Fillis (23:35), David Frankfurt (24:02), Brian Adler (26:03), Michael Frankfurt finished second in his age group (65-69) with a time of 27:43 as he celebrated his 50th anniversary of his first race up at Van, Jerry Stolls was right behind him finishing third in a time of 27:53, Sab Koide came in first in his age group (75-79) with a time of 28:57. Rounding out the field were Eugene Gutherie (39:53), and Walace Cutler was second in his age group (75-79) with a time of 49:15.
The women ran a seperate race. Pamela Guthrie was the first Millrose woman to cross in a time of 48:19.
