Spend less, take a trip more … right?! If you like to make your holiday travel dollar stretch, then like us, you might discover yourself thinking about a getaway package advertising deal. Know that these marketing holiday bundle business are not at all equivalent.
After the let down of our current stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I simply got off the phone from attempting to schedule the rest of our holiday bundle with them (a long time in Florida). Let’s just state that will not be occurring. We are simply going to eat the expense and forget about it.
From here on out, we will be reserving vacation packages through BookVIP. Here’s why …
Certainly, you’ve seen the Facebook sponsored posts. You will see that it is full of the most inexpensive trip bundles to some of the most popular locations if you click over to their site. They have some seriously glamorous looking stays all over the world at some insane excellent prices.
Our very first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was remarkable. Maybe the Dreams spoiled us.
One quick note … We have just utilized BookVIP one time, at one high-end resort in Cancun. Reasoning tells me that not every resort vacation package is going to supply a comparable experience. It actually is all going to come down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
Researching the residential or commercial properties provided on BookVIP can be a little a challenge. They don’t promote the actual name of the resorts. Rather, they use phony names. If you actually want to sleuth out the place you will be remaining a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the images will reveal the true identity of the property you are thinking about. We didn’t bother going that far. There was plenty of info on the BookVIP site to help us feel comfy with making our appointment.
What we like about reserving with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. When you have done your research study and you are ready, schedule. You will know what you are getting. You understand ahead of time if the dates you want to take a trip are available. There is time to compare the restaurants and features. This is a big contrast to the advertising holiday plan sales calls I will discuss in the next section.
When you are ready to make your booking with BookVIP, simply be gotten ready for a few additional resort costs and taxes. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive cost around $720 after whatever was said and done. In our case, part of the added fee was to cover pointers for the resort staff. After the experience we had, we found this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Book Vip Dominican Republic
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the best. If this had been our very first experience, we most likely would not have participated in another advertising offer. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our very first promotional resort stay, we began getting telephone call offering holiday plans to various locations. That is how we ended up with a holiday package including our newest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple short remain in Florida and in other places.
These travel sales calls are always a high-pressure situation unless you just hang up. Say no adequate times and they will keep dropping the price to where it really seems like a good deal. It is required that you do so prior to the end of the phone call if they capture your interest and you decide to acquire. There isn’t much time to look into the vacation properties they are offering. You may have a couple of seconds to quickly bring up some pictures but that has to do with it. A picture is worth a thousand words, but not worth almost as much as being able to check out a few reviews.
They drew us in with a stay in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the distance to Belize) and some time in Florida (hey there, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and purchased a plan. Utilizing it, that is a whole different story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it easy to in fact utilize the holiday time. There is a lot of small print that makes travel planning very difficult and possibly a lot more pricey. They do not expose these details throughout the sales call.
THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only just book dates 45-90 days ahead of time if YOU BUY A HOLIDAY PLAN WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS. Okay, fair enough.
However, when you call to ask for your preferred dates, they require you to fill out a long form requiring all the info that they currently have. You then have to wait about a week to see if your dates are even offered. Unless your travel plans will just consist of your stay at their resort, this makes planning the rest of your travel really inconvenient.
Planning budget friendly flights, or available Airbnb stays in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday bundle is very challenging. In our case, the Airbnb we wished to remain at after our remain at the resort was booked by the time Premier Travel Resorts got back to us.
Our package included a stay in Orlando and a remain in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts needs that those stays be back to back or 1 month apart. So, in our case, using them on either end of an organization trip we had actually prepared was not allowed.
We used the Cancun part of our getaway plan, but we will not be utilizing the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
You see, they put us up, not in one of the high-end residential or commercial properties that they wanted to sell us on, however rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the people at the nice home told us they called it.
Now, to be reasonable, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one restaurant that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you ignore the ac system leaking into our food) was in fact a good experience. They changed up the menu every night, featuring foods from different parts of Mexico. And the personnel was incredible. Really friendly and accommodating. And extremely going to assist us with our Spanish.
Once over the shock of the distinction in the sort of place we believed we would be staying, we made the most of it. We satisfied some good people. Ate some great food. Took some nice walks on the golf course. And got our rental car a couple days early to go off and explore the area.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts need that you go to a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their affordable costs. No biggie. We feel like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, nevertheless, needs that you attend a marketing discussion throughout each stay. This is different from what we were told when they offered us the bundle.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY RANT
