Invest less, take a trip more … right?! If you like to make your trip travel dollar stretch, then like us, you may find yourself considering a holiday plan advertising deal. Know that these advertising holiday package companies are not at all equal.
After the pulled down of our current stay at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I simply left the phone from trying to reserve the rest of our getaway package with them (some time in Florida). Let’s just say that will not be happening. We are simply going to consume the expense and forget about it.
From here on out, we will be scheduling holiday plans through BookVIP. Here’s why …
Undoubtedly, you’ve seen the Facebook sponsored posts. If you click over to their website, you will see that it has lots of the most inexpensive vacation packages to a few of the most popular locations. They have some seriously elegant looking stays all over the world at some insane good prices.
Our first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was fantastic. Maybe the Dreams ruined us.
One quick note … We have just utilized BookVIP one time, at one high-end resort in Cancun. Logic informs me that not every resort trip bundle is going to provide a comparable experience. It actually is all going to come down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
They don’t promote the real name of the resorts. If you really want to sleuth out the place you will be staying a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the images will expose the true identity of the residential or commercial property you are considering. There was plenty of details on the BookVIP website to assist us feel comfortable with making our appointment.
What we enjoy about reserving with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. Reserve when you have actually done your research study and you are ready. You will understand what you are getting. If the dates you desire to travel are offered, you understand ahead of time. There is time to compare the restaurants and features. This is a big contrast to the promotional holiday plan sales calls I will speak about in the next section.
Simply be prepared for a couple of additional resort fees and taxes when you are ready to make your appointment with BookVIP. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after whatever was stated and done. In our case, part of the added fee was to cover ideas for the resort staff. After the experience we had, we discovered this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Bookvip Cancellation
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the best. If this had actually been our very first experience, we very likely would not have actually taken part in another marketing offer. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our first advertising resort stay, we started getting phone calls offering trip bundles to various locations. That is how we ended up with a trip package including our latest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple brief stays in Florida and somewhere else.
These travel sales calls are constantly a high-pressure scenario unless you simply hang up. Say no adequate times and they will keep dropping the price to where it actually seems like a bargain. It is needed that you do so prior to the end of the phone call if they record your interest and you decide to acquire. There isn’t much time to research the getaway homes they are using. You may have a few seconds to rapidly bring up some images however that has to do with it. A picture is worth a thousand words, however not worth almost as much as being able to check out a few evaluations.
They drew us in with a remain in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the proximity to Belize) and a long time in Florida (hey there, sailboat shopping!). So we pulled the trigger and purchased a plan. Using it, that is an entire different story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it simple to really use the getaway time. There is a great deal of small print that makes travel planning really challenging and potentially a lot more costly. They do not reveal these details throughout the sales call.
IF YOU BUY A HOLIDAY PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR …
You can just reserve your dates 45-90 days ahead of time. Okay, fair enough.
When you call to ask for your favored dates, they need you to fill out a long kind needing all the information that they currently have. You then need to wait about a week to see if your dates are even offered. Unless your travel plans will just consist of your stay at their resort, this makes planning the rest of your travel very troublesome.
Preparation affordable flights, or readily available Airbnb stays in conjunction with your Premier Travel Resorts trip package is very difficult. In our case, the Airbnb we wanted to remain at after our stay at the resort was scheduled by the time Premier Travel Resorts returned to us.
Our package consisted of a remain in Orlando and a remain in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts needs that those stays be back to back or 30 days apart. In our case, using them on either end of a service trip we had prepared was not permitted.
We utilized the Cancun portion of our vacation package, however we won’t be utilizing the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
You see, they put us up, not in one of the luxury properties that they wanted to offer us on, but rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the men at the great property told us they called it.
The one restaurant that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you overlook the air conditioner leaking into our food) was in fact a good experience. They altered up the menu every night, including foods from various parts of Mexico. And very ready to help us with our Spanish.
Once over the shock of the difference in the kind of place we believed we would be remaining, we made the most of it. And picked up our rental cars and truck a couple days early to go off and explore the location.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts need that you go to a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their discounted prices. No biggie. We feel like that is worth it.
Premier Travel Resorts, however, needs that you attend a marketing discussion during each stay. When they offered us the bundle, this is various from what we were told. When you are staying somewhere for just two nights is a big portion of time, a two-hour sales pitch. They sold us four various stays, that suggests as much as eight hours of reasonably high-pressure sales! No thanks.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY TIRADE
