Invest less, travel more … right?! If you like to make your vacation travel dollar stretch, then like us, you may find yourself thinking about a trip bundle promotional offer. Know that these promotional getaway bundle companies are not at all equivalent.
After the let down of our current remain at the Cancun all inclusive through Premier Travel Resorts, I simply got off the phone from trying to book the remainder of our trip plan with them (some time in Florida). Let’s just say that will not be occurring. We are just going to forget and eat the expense about it.
From here on out, we will be booking vacation plans through BookVIP. Here’s why …
Definitely, you’ve seen the Facebook sponsored posts. You will see that it is complete of the cheapest vacation packages to some of the most popular locations if you click over to their website. They have some seriously elegant looking stays all over the world at some insane good rates.
Our first ever all inclusive experience was with BookVIP and it was incredible. Possibly the Dreams spoiled us.
One fast note … We have only used BookVIP one time, at one luxury resort in Cancun. Logic informs me that not every resort trip package is going to supply a similar experience. It actually is all going to come down to the research study you put in.
Is booking Very Important Person a timeshare?
Researching the homes used on BookVIP can be a bit of an obstacle. They don’t market the real name of the resorts. Instead, they use phony names. If you actually desire to sleuth out the place you will be staying a bit of investigative work on Google to match up the pictures will reveal the true identity of the property you are thinking about. We didn’t trouble going that far. There was lots of information on the BookVIP site to help us feel comfortable with making our booking.
What we love about scheduling with BookVIP? You are on your own schedule. No sales calls, no pressure. Book when you have actually done your research study and you are ready. You will understand what you are getting. You know ahead of time if the dates you want to travel are offered. There is time to compare the dining establishments and amenities. This is a huge contrast to the marketing trip plan sales calls I will speak about in the next area.
Simply be prepared for a couple of extra resort fees and taxes when you are ready to make your booking with BookVIP. Our $599 for 5 days/4 nights at a Cancun all inclusive expense around $720 after whatever was stated and done. In our case, part of the surcharge was to cover pointers for the resort staff. After the experience we had, we found this to be well worth it.
OUR EXPERIENCE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS Bookvip Must Be American Citizen
In contrast to BookVIP, our experience with Premier Travel Resorts (out of Florida) was not the very best. If this had been our very first experience, we highly likely would not have participated in another marketing deal. It was that bad.
Are you on the calling lists? After our first promotional resort stay, we started getting telephone call offering holiday packages to different destinations. That is how we wound up with a getaway package including our latest Cancun all inclusive plus a couple short stays in Florida and somewhere else.
These travel sales calls are constantly a high-pressure scenario unless you simply hang up. Say no sufficient times and they will keep dropping the cost to where it in fact seems like a bargain. If they catch your interest and you decide to purchase, it is needed that you do so prior to the end of the telephone call. There isn’t much time to investigate the getaway homes they are offering. You might have a few seconds to rapidly bring up some images however that is about it. A photo deserves a thousand words, but unworthy nearly as much as being able to check out a few reviews.
They drew us in with a stay in Cancun (which is convenient for us because of the proximity to Belize) and a long time in Florida (hey there, sailboat shopping!). We pulled the trigger and bought a bundle. But using it, that is an entire different story.
Premier Travel Resorts does not make it easy to really utilize the holiday time. There is a great deal of small print that makes travel planning very challenging and potentially a lot more pricey. They do not expose these details during the sales call.
IF YOU BUY A GETAWAY PACKAGE WITH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS, THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR …
You can only book your dates 45-90 days ahead of time. Okay, reasonable enough.
However, when you call to request for your preferred dates, they require you to fill out a long type needing all the information that they already have. You then have to wait about a week to see if your dates are even available. Unless your itinerary will only consist of your stay at their resort, this makes planning the rest of your travel very bothersome.
Preparation cost effective flights, or offered Airbnb stays in combination with your Premier Travel Resorts holiday plan is really hard. In our case, the Airbnb we wanted to remain at after our stay at the resort was reserved by the time Premier Travel Resorts got back to us.
Our package included a stay in Orlando and a stay in Daytona Beach. Premier Travel Resorts requires that those stays be back to back or 30 days apart. In our case, using them on either end of a service trip we had actually planned was not enabled.
We utilized the Cancun part of our getaway bundle, but we will not be utilizing the rest of it.
THE BAIT AND SWITCH CANCUN ‘ALL INCLUSIVE’ THROUGH PREMIER TRAVEL RESORTS
The space was dirty, the toilet was cracked, the lights flickered, and that is simply the start. You see, they put us up, not in one of the luxury properties that they wanted to sell us on, however rather at their ‘cemetary resort’. Seriously, that is what the people at the nice home informed us they called it. Genuine.
Now, to be fair, Laguna Suites wasn’t all bad. The one dining establishment that was consisted of in our ‘all inclusive’ (if you overlook the a/c leaking into our food) was really a good experience. They altered the menu every night, featuring foods from different parts of Mexico. And the staff was fantastic. Really friendly and accommodating. And extremely ready to assist us with our Spanish.
Once over the shock of the distinction in the sort of location we believed we would be staying, we took advantage of it. We fulfilled some nice people. Consumed some fantastic food. Took some nice walks on the golf course. And picked up our rental cars and truck a couple days early to go off and check out the location.
THE SALES PITCH
Both BookVIP and Premier Travel Resorts need that you attend a 90-120 minute sales pitch to get their reduced costs. No biggie. We feel like that deserves it.
Premier Travel Resorts, nevertheless, requires that you go to a promotional discussion during each stay. This is various from what we were informed when they sold us the package.
OK, THAT’S IT FOR MY TIRADE
